SushiSwap

SushiSwap launched August 8 2020 by an anonymous developer under the pseudonym "Chef Nomi." SushiSwap gained traction quickly by introducing community-focused incentives and yield farming opportunities that attracted liquidity away from other protocols. Chef Nomi handed over the admin/timelock keys to FTX’s Sam Bankman Fried and later became fully decentralized through a community-led governance structure.

SushiSwap uses an automated market maker (AMM), where users trade directly from liquidity pools instead of traditional order books. Liquidity providers deposit tokens into these pools and receive LP tokens in return, earning trading fees and incentives. SUSHI is used for governance, staking, and reward distribution.

SushiSwap has several features:
